The Kenn Borek Memorial Scholarship is established to assist Western and Northern Canadian students pursuing careers in aviation.  The scholarship is to be used by the successful applicant towards payment of their aviation education.

In response to NATA operator concerns Transport Canada has issued a new exemption to allow external loads to be carried on float equipped aircraft without formal engineering approvals under a defined set of conditions. This exemption is intended as a bridging mechanism only to allow affected operators time to get their formal approvals in place, and will expire Dec 31, 2010.  Registration with Transport Canada is necessary to take advantage of the exemption.  Please use the following link to see the entire exemption for full details, Exemption of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (pdf 255K, Revised July 9th). NATA would like to acknowledge the cooperation and effort on Transport Canada's behalf to get this exemption in place for the 2009 float season.
